Celebrity butcher Vince Garreffa's crowd-funded recipe book, focuses on his Calabrian heritage and his arrival from Italy to Western Australia as a five-year-old in the 1950s and the experiences that shaped his life. There is plenty of humour in the book as he tells some of the stories he has become much loved for. Through his adolescence and butchers apprenticeship, his early 20s when he met his wife Anne, starting their family and opening Mondo di Carne, their butchers shop, together.

Vince also shares recipes that his family bought from home as well as others he received from relatives and friends or created himself. Sixty recipes to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of when he arrived in Australia on February 18, 1956. Part profits from the book go to Mondo Community Warriors, which he runs with Lifeline Patron Graham Mabu.
