Will Kostakis is an award-winning author for young adults. His first novel, Loathing Lola, was released when he was just nineteen, and his second, The First Third, won the 2014 Gold Inky Award. It was shortlisted for the Children's Book of Australia Book of the Year and Australian Prime Minister's Literary awards. The Sidekicks was his third novel for young adults, and his American debut. Will won Sydney the Morning Herald Young Writer of the Year award for a collection of short stories.
Shivaun Plozza is a Children's and YA writer. Her critically acclaimed debut novel, Frankie, was a CBCA Notable Book, shortlisted for the Inky Awards, Highly Commended at the Victorian Premier's Literary Awards and won the YA category of the Davitt Awards. Her second novel, Tin Heart, was released in March 2018. Her short story, The Point, is part of Where the Shoreline Used to Be, an anthology of YA fiction. Other short works have appeared in Above Water, Vivid and The Victorian Writer. When she's not writing she's working away as an editor and manuscript assessor.
