“Touch” is Claire North’s second novel after the wonderfully original “15 Lives of Harry August” and is a novel that explores themes of identity, immortality and rebirth. Our main character is an entity called Kepler which has the ability to jump between human hosts to effectively take over a persons body, mind and spirit. We are thrown into a cat and mouse game when one of the host bodies is murdered and travel with Kepler throughout centuries in the bodies and minds of many different characters. I found the pace refreshingly fast, with short chapters that really kept me guessing. For fans of more adventurous fiction, fantasy and sci-fi.
