This is a biographical account of events from the 1880s to 1950s in India. The story spans 3 generations of women in an Anglo-Indian Family and draws upon some of the noteworthy historical events in India at the time. We also see some of the obstacles the average middle-class Anglo-Indian family members faced and their attempts at embracing a changing India.
This series of vignettes provides a glimpse of what happened to middle-class Anglo-Indians in India and how the quest for the country's Independence eventually contributed to the exodus of Anglo-Indians in the 1940s and 1950s.
