Veteran Perth photojournalist Nic Ellis left school in 1972 to begin a career in photography, at the age of 16, in his home town of Newport in Wales. In 1981 he migrated to Sydney and worked for the Manly Daily, then the Sydney Morning Herald, before moving to Perth in 1982.
He has been 'on the road' as a newspaper photojournalist for 40 years. This is a book of photography, journalism and history, 188 pictures and their accompanying stories. Accompanying text essays are written by journalist and author Brad Collis.
