As a result of LSD ingestion in 1994, I awoke a beast in the grip of mental illness and, being untreated for approximately seven years, violence and irrationality became mainstream. Finally force-medicated in prison hospital, I slowly reconnected old neurological maps and formed new ones.
All the while, I always felt I had something to offer creatively, eventually morphing into an author. My battle with homelessness finally ceased mid 2009, and again I found my feet relating to employment, being acknowledged as the most financially successful "Big Issue" vendor since its inception to Australia. I was given the go-ahead by specialists to discontinue medication in November 2011, and now consider myself neuro typical, which coincided with an offer by Strategic Books to publish my works. It has been a hell of a journey thus far and I feel I am still only a small part of the way through. I have much, much more to offer as an author and will publish again, no doubt.Psychotic Verses was written within prison, hospital and asylums. These works are a result of what little rationalisation I possessed.About the Author: Glenn J. Pilley "The Pill" lives in Sydney and is a street vendor for the charitable magazine "The Big Issue."
