About the Author

May Gibbs (1877-1969), Australia’s foremost children’s author and illustrator and best known today for her iconic story The Complete Adventures of Snugglepot & Cuddlepie. This year marks the 100 year anniversary of when this iconic brand first burst onto Australia's literary scene. Many of May's books such as May Gibbs' Tales from the Billabong and Gumnut Babies are still in print and have been released again for this anniversary occasion. A brand new biography has also been released earlier this year, May Gibbs: More Than a Fairy Tale; An Artistic Life.
