J for Jig was RAAF Lancaster bomber that set off from Lincolnshire to bomb factories in Germany in 1944 – but was shot down over France. This book is the story of the 7 young men on that aircraft – some of whom died on that night, and some of whom survived incredible adventures and hardships as prisoners for the remainder of the war. It’s a masterful story, in which we learn who these men were, whom they loved, and whom they left behind.
